the hotel provides immediate access to many hikes directly from the hotel i enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen with cooking utensils it was great to have a kitchen to prepare my own meals the views were amazing i could see the mountain from my room it was warm and cozy there was plenty of parking available outside the hotel.
the room lacked sufficient heating i had to put in extra effort to close the taps properly in the bathroom

the hotel's location allowed easy access to the northern circuit tongariro hike it is also very close to significant mountain walks and valley walks i enjoyed exploring waterfalls that were within walking distance.

the resort is located very close to tongariro national park (perfect for hiking!). the staff was friendly and helpful, even with my late arrival. the on-site facilities, like the sauna and hot tub, are well maintained.
The room decor felt a bit dated. Some minor updates could elevate the guest experience.

I appreciated the location near the park visitor center. The woman at check-in provided alternative hiking options when our plans changed due to weather. I spent a day in the lounge on comfortable sofas near the wood stove. The staff was helpful, especially close to Christmas.
